Kazan Research and Production Enterprise "Helicopters-MI" for the first time after rebranding presented its services at the helicopter industry exhibition HeliRussia2019 at the International Exhibition Center "Crocus Expo" in Moscow. During the exhibition days, KNPP "Helicopters-MI" held a number of strategic negotiations with operators of Mi-8, Mi-8AMT, Mi-8MTV-1 helicopters on issues of installation and operation of EAFT.6130.000 and EWL.4011.000, as well as with partners and potential service providers. "Undoubtedly, the participation of KNPP "Helicopters-MI" in an updated form at the largest helicopter exhibition in Russia and the CIS is an indicator of the development of our enterprise, one of the oldest in the helicopter industry. The products we supply are unique in nature and very beneficial for operators of Mi family helicopters. We are glad that in three days we managed to hold so many fruitful negotiations and meetings," shared General Director Dmitry Konovalov.
KNPP "Helicopters-MI" participated in the 15th International Exhibition of Aviation, Space and Naval Technology "LIMA 2019" in Malaysia. The LIMA exhibition is held with the assistance of the Government of Malaysia, the Ministry of Defense and the Command of the Malaysian Armed Forces. KNPP "Helicopters-MI" presented the capabilities of external additional fuel tanks EAFT.6130.000 and emergency water landing systems EWL.4011.000 for Mi-8, Mi-8AMT, Mi-8MTV-1 helicopters and their modifications, of which it is the manufacturer. The installation of additional fuel tanks increases the helicopter's flight range by 2 times to 1050 km, and emergency water landing systems increase the safety of aircraft operation over water areas. Today, more than 700 installations of external additional fuel tanks produced by KNPP "Helicopters-MI" are operated by airlines in more than 50 countries around the world.
On February 29, 2019, the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) put into effect Bulletin No. 6130-2BE-G on establishing the assigned service life of external additional fuel tanks EAFT.6130.200 and their mounting elements of 3000 hours, operated as part of Mi-8, Mi-8MTV-1, Mi-8AMT helicopters and their civil modifications.
